DHI TECHNIQUE

What is DHI technique?

We all know that the evolution of technology provides us with different ways of solving problems encountered in daily life. The same applies to hair loss. Several methods are currently available on the market, including the DHI technique.

It is different from other methods by implanting the grafts. It stands for "Direct Hair Transplantation."

Definition of DHI technique

The point that directly distinguishes the DHI technique from FUE is the implantation of the graft, even if the prior method is more known. In contrast, in the DHI technique, the incision and the implant are performed simultaneously and it is not necessary to open the ducts before the implant. The procedure is carried out using an implant pen (Choi), which resembles an empty needle connected to a tube and a push device. Therefore, the DHI technique is also known as the Choi method.

Implant process

Using the Choi implant, an expert in hair transplantation places the follicles in the implant pen. The follicle is gently embedded in a bare needle placed at the tip of the pen and then repositioned by the doctor.

The surgeon then implantes the graft at a 40-45 degree angle on the scalp while pressing the pushing device connected to the tube. During a procedure, 12-14 Choi pens and 15-16 needles are used. The device comes in various needle sizes to fit follicular unit grafts.

Advantages of DHI

  • Reduce the time the grafts remain outside the body. Reduction of bleeding.
  • Reduction of discomfort during follicular administration.
  • Rapid recovery in postoperative period.
  • There is no need to shave the hair before surgery.

Looking at scientific and technical developments, a new era has been created that produces efficient and safe results, but in particular offers a natural look. This includes Choi Pen because it has significantly improved hair remodeling procedures.
